Blends and Type

1. Construction site edited: Montage achieved by using masks to blend construction site and construction pipes together. I used the quick selection tool to select the construction cone and added it to the montage. I then used the mask type tool on the parking lot texture and added bevel emboss, and stroke. I then added that to the montage, and then added the bottom text, " is everywhere."

6. Old House edited : Achieved antique grudge look by adding solid color with overlay blend mode. Then used the channel tab on the wall texture photo and used the Red channel and transferred it over on top of the House. Then I used the adjustment layer tab and changed the blend mode to hard light. I changed the opacity of this layer until I was satisfied with the end product. I then added a mask and edited out some of the edges.

I enjoyed editing these photos this week. In pictures 2,3,4 and 7 I slightly changed the levels. Even though it looked like it was going to rain when I took most of these pictures, it managed to stay nice until I was done shooting. I have been feeling frustrated with all the construction around campus so I decided to take several shots and blend them together.

  1. You put a lot of effort into the blends! I am amazed! The construction one was a fantastic montage. The building looks like an inviting cottage, the texture adds to it a lot. Great job!
